A awhile back I did makeup and hair for a good friend of mines jewelry company. She always comes up with the most amazing/strange/beautiful ideas to show off her unique jewelry.
On set there was someone shooting video and someone shooting photos. I’ve shown a few of the images and the video.
Yesterday I did a shoot with two of my favorite people to work with. I’ve worked with Stephanie Geddes and Sarah Sterns on a few other shoots and we immediately knew we enjoyed working with each other.
We talked about wanting to shoot a period inspired piece. We liked the dark and light contrast and decided to try a victorian inspired look. We created three very different looks in hopes to connect them through lighting and victorian styled clothing or hair/makeup. I took some risks as a hair stylist and makeup artist and hoped the looks would come together nicely.
I love the way each image turned out looking like a painting. This is a style of photography I am in love with and so excited to have been apart of this!
I couldn’t be more happier with the outcome of the photos!
Back in October I did old age makeup for a TV pilot. The actor I was working on, Antonio Vizcarrondo, looks like he is in his mid 20s and I needed to make him look like he was in his mid 50s. I had so much fun creating this look, which included a fake mustache.
Antonio was so much fun to work with. He was great company throughout the long process and kept a smile through all of the latex and adhesive application. Such a pro!
